M.V. Morning Star

Project Background:
The M.V Morning Star is an aluminium vessel working in the aquaculture industry. The owners wanted to extend the vessel from 17m in length to 24m. All work had to be completed in time for her to undertake her seasonal schedule.
Project Scope:
- Aimex Service Group removed the Morning Star from the water at Port Nelson and transported her to our workshop
- Fabrication of the block prior to vessel arriving on site
- Cut vessel in half and rejoined block to vessel
- Widened remainder of old vessel
Project Outcome:
This new client was extremely happy with the outcome of the work, commenting that they "never thought it would be this easy to do such a major extension!" They are still an Aimex Service Group client to this day!
